Pumpkin Spice Everything: The DOs and DON’Ts of Pumpkin Products

Fall is officially here, which means every single product is now available in a pumpkin version.  Earlier this month, this picture was quickly making it’s way around the Internet.

As it turns out, the image was a joke.  An extremely funny one.

So when is it okay to add pumpkin and when is it too much?  Here’s our quick list of DOs and DON’Ts for pumpkining.  (That’s a word, right?)

DO

Pumpkin Pie.  A delicious fall dessert that should never go away.  Congrats, normal person, for craving this traditional favorite.

DON’T

Bacon Pumpkin Pie.  Remember when you thought bacon went well with everything?  It doesn’t.  This is bad.  Please don’t.

DO

Pumpkin Ales.  Varying from very to slightly pumpkin flavored, these brews are the perfect compliment to a cool autumn night.

DON’T

Pumpkin Pie Vodka.  Imagine how vodka tastes.  Imagine how pumpkins taste.  Now imagine the two together.  Enough said.

Chocolate Covered Pumpkin Twinkie.  Just when you thought your favorite guilty pleasure snack couldn’t get any better, it did.

DON’T

Pumpkin Spice Pringles.  Just when you thought they could never ruin your favorite salty snack, they did.

DO

Pumpkin Spice Latte, Cranberry Sauce 008

Pumpkin Spice Latte.  At this time of year, it’s as closely attached to girls as their yoga pants.  And we can’t blame them.

DON’T

Pumpkin Spice Gum.  You know what doesn’t help you get rid of that pumpkin spice latte breath?  This.

DO

Pumpkin Waffles.  Add maple syrup, whipped cream and it’s like eating pumpkin pie for breakfast without feeling bad about it.

DON’T

Pumpkin Dog Treats.  Please don’t drag your dog into this weird seasonal trend.  It’s borderline animal cruelty.
