Hate Clowns? Then You Don’t Want To Hear Where They Found This Missing Doll!

Louie the clown used to play the Wurlitzer organ at the Joyland amusement park in Wichita, Kansas, but he disappeared in 2005 (presumably to sneak into your room at night and watch you sleep).

After 10 years, police in Kansas finally discovered Louie – thanks to a phone tip – at the home of Damian Mayes, a 39-year-old man who is currently in jail for sex crimes involving a child.

Mayes used to work at Joyland building and repairing organs. According to an article on Abandoned Oklahoma, Mayes met the clown when he was 4, and he was very close to the doll.

Mayes said when he was 15 and doing renovations for the park, owners Stanley and Margaret Nelson would let him take the clown home when the park closed in the winters. Mayes would apply a fresh coat of paint to Louie’s grin or add to his whimsical attire.

He also denied knowing anything about the disappearance at the time, saying he hadn’t see it in years.

The park itself was in operation from 1949 until 2004. Now it lies in ruins.

Attention horror movie writers, your next script has just fallen right into your lap.

Here is a photo of his kidnapper and a bunch of terrifying photos of the now abandoned amusement park from a few years ago.

Sleep tight.
